Meet Jade
WIFE + mom
After dating 2 years—which included 1 year of deployment, I married my veteran husband in August 2010. I moved from Indiana to upstate New York where Brad was stationed until his enlistment with the Army was over.
After moving back home, we went to college and graduated with business degrees together in 2016. I double majored in accounting and finance.
That motherly urge to never leave your babies kicked in for me after my first son was born in October 2017. I ended up quitting my full time accounting job and working part time temporarily until I made the leap to stay home full time. Those motherly instincts are there for a reason. Don’t ignore them.
When my second son was around 8 months old, we sold our cookie cutter neighborhood house for a fixer upper on 5 acres in our dream location. We are loving making this house our own and watching our boys grow up on this property.
Around this time is also when I was trying to decide the best school for my oldest. The prompting I felt to homeschool came as a surprise for me, but the more I researched schools the less interested I was in the traditional route of education. We are on our second year of homeschooling.
I love to learn knew things. I research like it’s my job. Maybe, as a mom, it kind of is my job. My intention is to share the research I’ve done to help other mamas have the healthiest and happiest home with their families.
Core Values
Jesus
Your relationship with Jesus affects every area of your life. Make sure it’s not just a one way relationship. Listen to Him instead of doing all the talking in prayer. Pursue righteousness in all that you do.
Motherhood
If you have kids at home, motherhood is your primary purpose in this season. You only get one shot at this. Take this job as seriously as you would a paid job.
Health
Without your health, it’s hard to focus on anything else important in your life. If more mothers prioritized their own health, it would trickle down and affect the whole family in the best way.
